From a recent correspondence with Tiffany Salmon in July 2006:

Dear Nancy,

I was so sorry to hear that you lost poor Walter! I did remember you saying that you had a new puppy, but I guess I just assumed it was another OES. So Conformation eh? Now there's something I know nothing about. Maybe 'cause my dogs have turned out feet and very little coat? LOL

I was at Julie's on Sunday. Wow! That's quite the place. I'm very jealous. It wasn't a very successful day, I was Queen of the 5 fault runs although I only had Piper entered in two runs and Rio in four. We had signed up hoping for yet another chance at our Master Team Relay legs (the only thing Rio was missing for her ATChC for the past 18 months), but we actually got our first Team leg in March and two more in June (all with her red Border Collie boyfriend Bert) to get her ATChC! We actually got 2 more team legs at our trial on Saturday. I'm thinking I'm now retired from team. Yuck.

I haven't been doing much disc.  I am a Canadian Disc Dog judge now however.  I've been alternating flyball & agility on weekends.  Flyball is going okay.  Our team is in first place in our region which isn't bad although it's not really due to my dogs!  Agility has been going well since no one is pregnant or injured :)  I ran my two girls plus boyfriend Bert at the Ontario Regionals and managed to get all 3 in the top 5!  (Bert 2nd, Rio 4th, Piper 5th).  I don't think I can afford to go to nationals in Vancouver, but I've still got 4 days to decide!!!

I'm hoping to breed both Rio and her co-owned daughter, Flare, this Fall which will create a very busy time with two litters of puppies! I must be crazy. The two and a half year old isn't a great help when it comes to picking up puppy poo although I bet she's the only one in town that plays pooper-scooper with imaginary poo in their family room :)

This weekend is our big Horse & Dog relay at the Capital Classic. It's supposed to be a scorcher. Oh well--it's always a fun event even if it is a lot of work!!

Take care,
Tiffany
