Reporting in from recent Conformation Show Rings around the area we welcome Rollingview's
Cape Crusader and his handler extraordinaire, Douglas Bender.

Weekend of September 29 and 30th.

As a proud dad, I am thrilled to announce that after five show weekends, our boy Hunter
got his American championship with a Best of Winners in Finger Lakes, NY two weeks ago. I
was confident we'd pick up the remaining two points over the weekend yet quite aware that
anything can happen in the ring. We entered Fri, Sat and Sun.
Hunter was at his best on the Friday when he took Best of Winners. He was focused and
moved well. We bumped him up to Specials for Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, Hunter and
I were completely out of sync in the ring. I guess we were both still mentally celebrating
his championship. On Sunday, I was more focused but Hunter suddenly got this big burst of
energy as soon as he entered the ring. He was cute but a tad unruly. Hunter's older
brother Ben (Rollingview's The Best Goes On) took the breed. The judge commented that he
prefers a more mature dog and at 2 1/2, he considers Hunter young. He did take his time
going over each of the dogs and did select a good dog. All in all, it was a great weekend.
